Mission Statement

First and foremost, LRT is a community of skiers. The membership is committed to the process of developing athletes' self-understanding through the process of performing on the field of play, while participating within a challenging and supportive team framework. Our developmental approach can be summed up as "process over results," which, coincidentally, tends to produce results. We firmly believe that attention to the process of fundamentals acquisition, with a realistic interpretation of relative successes (and failures) along the way, leads first to better athletes, then later on to lasting, independent, and meaningful character development applicable to the larger stage of life. This is how we define "fun."
